Resources for IBD patients

Living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis can be very challenging.  It helps to know you aren’t alone.  There are a variety of social networks and initiatives by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation where you will find a welcoming and empathic network of patients and caregivers who are there to help you when times get tough.

Web resources:

  1. Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
  2. Managing anxiety and IBD
  3. University of Michigan IBD School
  4. The impact of IBD on mental health
  5. Battling IBD negativity

Reading about other patients’ experiences is a helpful way of reminding ourselves that we aren’t alone.  Blogs can be a helpful resource when it’s challenging to meet other IBD patients in your community.  However, when reading blogs (including mine) don’t forget:

Every IBD patient is different.
